But crafts are more fun

Jordana Paige, a designer of knitted stuff and knitter's bags, has a blog that I read on occasion. She posted today about two amazing sites that I'd never heard about, Spoonflower, where you can get fabric printed with your own designs (currently in beta testing), and Ponoko, where you design your own project, specify the material, and they cut out the pieces and mail them back to you for you to assemble. Ponoko seems to have a community built around it, kind of like Etsy except that they do the work for you. How incredibly cool.

Dissertation. Not crafts. Dissertation.
