Congratulations to Barbara Ann Heller of Winston-Salem, NC, mother of my friend Nicole, for correctly identifying the White Evening Primrose that has sprung up by the side of the road at our house. I'm a little disappointed in the rest of you, honestly... I expected a response to come sooner than a day and a half. Apparently, my fans aren't quite as devoted as I thought, or maybe you guys are just as clueless about flowers as I am.

Thanks, Barb. Jack's instinct not to mow over this flower has proved to be the correct one.
